Chatfield State Park & Reservoir
Sailors, fishermen, hikers, hot air balloonists and just about everyone else can find enjoyment at this 5,318 acre park, only 5 minutes from GrandView. The South Platte River tumbles from the Rockies and finds its way through the park, offering exciting fly and spin fishing. The reservoir is navigated by sailboats and power boats alike. A birdwatcher's delight, Chatfield is also home to significant wetlands and migratory birds. Birng your binoculars and you may be treated to everything from Cooper's Hawks to Blue Herons to Pelicans.
